Ramón y Cajal appoints Antonio Alcolea Cantos as partner

Ramón y Cajal Abogados has appointed Antonio Alcolea Cantos as a new partner and head of the Administrative Law and Regulated Sectors practice.

A State Attorney on leave of absence, Alcolea is a recognised specialist in administrative law and litigation involving the public sector, with extensive experience advising and representing companies from a wide range of industries before the courts and in arbitration proceedings. His career includes advising companies on construction, infrastructure and public-private partnership (PPP) projects, as well as a strong practice in public procurement, concessions, sector regulation and dispute resolution.

Throughout his professional career, Alcolea has been a partner at national and international law firms and has held senior positions of the highest responsibility within the State Attorney’s Office. He also has a solid academic background. He has lectured at the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), the Legal Studies Centre of the Ministry of Justice (CEJ), ICADE, the Autonomous University of Madrid and Carlos III University of Madrid, among other institutions, and is the author of numerous publications on administrative law and public procurement.
