Ramón y Cajal advise in restructuring Metronia’s financial debt

Ramón y Cajal Abogados provided legal advice to the pool of financial entities led by Caixabank, Bankinter, and Abanca in the restructuring of the financial debt of Metronia and its group of companies, a relevant spanish online betting company and leader in bingo gaming, being one of the first restructurings to be implemented with the new Law 16/2022, of TRLC reform.

The team has been led by partner Amado Giménez Bono (co-managing partner of the finance and banking practice area), and lawyers Alberto París (associate in finance and banking)and Diego Gabarain (associate in finance and banking). The transaction was closed on 15 February 2022, with the amount being confidential and AFI acting as financial advisor to the transaction.
