Ramón y Cajal and Montero Aramburu advise on the sale of the production unit of Abengoa Solar

Ramón y Cajal Abogados and Montero Aramburu Abogados had advised Abengoa on the transaction in one of the first operations to be carried out after the entry into force of the new bankruptcy law.

The Commercial Court number 3 of Seville has authorised the sale of the production unit of Abengoa Solar to Rioglass Servicios, of the Atlántica group, within the framework of the bankruptcy proceedings of the company belonging to the Abengoa Group. Thanks to this operation, the company’s activity has been maintained and 100% of the workforce has been saved.

The lawyers at Montero Aramburu in this operation had been Ana Beatriz Gamero (Head of the commercial law department), Óscar Romero (lawyer) and Javier Valdecantos (partner), from the corporate restructuring and insolvency and commercial law.

Cristina Vidal (partner), Ramón Fernández-Aceytuno (partner), Alfonso Carcamo (partner) and Carmen Fernández-Hontoria (partner) have been part the insolvency process team from Ramón y Cajal firm.
