Portuguese Controlauto acquires PrevenControl: The Advisors

RocaJunyent has provided legal counsel for the acquisition of the Catalan company PrevenControl (Revisions de Vehicles, S.A.) by the Portuguese company Controlauto. This transaction marks Controlauto’s first international operation and its entry into the Spanish market. The company is dedicated to the technical inspection of vehicles in Portugal and is owned by Portobello since the end of 2023.

RocaJunyent’ team, who advised the Portuguese multinational, was led by partner Alex Llevat (pictured left), associate Laura Wintzer Garcia, and lawyer Guillem Navarro Monterde, played a pivotal role in facilitating the acquisition process. Their expertise ensured smooth navigation of legal complexities and successful completion of the transaction.

Andersen has also advised the PrevenControl Group on the regulatory regime of the authorisations for the provision of the Vehicle Technical Inspection service it holds, for the sale of the company to the Portuguese company Controlauto, owned by Portobello Capital and Brisa Auto Estradas de Portugal.
