Herrera holds a degree in biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a master’s degree in biotechnology and a master’s degree in european patent law from the EOI and the University of Strasbourg, respectively. She is also a european patent attorney since 2015 and, from this new position, she will lead a team of 40 professionals specialised in fields such as biotechnology, engineering and chemistry.

“We are sure that Ana is the best possible profile to take on this challenge, due to her extensive experience and training, her vision of the business and her knowledge of the sector,” said Nuria Marcos, CEO of Pons IP.
