PLMJ & CMS advise on 2nd investment round in REGA
PLMJ and CMS have advised on the 2nd investment round in REGA. PLMJ advised REGA Energy Group, and CMS advised SWEN Capital Partners, on a second investment round in Portugal, for the amount of 60 million euros. This was subscribed by Fund SWIFT1 and Fund SWIFT 2, both managed by SWEN Capital Partners, aiming to accelerate the development of its biomethane and green hydrogen business in Portugal.
The advice given to SWEN Capital Partners, involved an international and multidisciplinary team from CMS led by Margarida Vila Franca (pictured top right), Corporate M&A partner, and Mónica Carneiro Pacheco (pictured bottom right), Energy & Climate Change partner. The team also included Tax Partner Patrick Dewerbe, Mariana Coentro Ribeiro (Tax Managing Associate), André Guimarães (Corporate M&A Senior Associate), and Francisca Pereira da Cruz (Corporate M&A Associate).
From PLMJ, the transaction was led by Duarte Schmidt Lino (pictured top left), partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice. He was assisted by managing associate Alexander Ehlert (pictured bottom left) and senior associate Ana Nunes Teixeira. Contributions also came from associates Rita Dinis Carvalha and Luísa Eckenroth Moreira.
