Pinsent Masons names Richard Griffiths global managing partner
Pinsent Masons has announced the election of Richard Griffiths as its new global managing partner. Griffiths, currently global head of the firm’s property practice, will succeed Laura Cameron from 1 November 2026 and will work alongside John Maciver, who was elected senior partner earlier this year.
Under Griffiths’ leadership, the property practice has grown by 13% over the past two years. He previously led the firm’s planning & environment practice, where he played a role in its international expansion into Australia, the Middle East and Europe; during his four years heading that practice, it recorded 53% growth.
Reactions to the appointment
Griffiths, managing partner elected, said: “We have strong professionals, deep sector knowledge and an international platform. I will build on these strengths to lead the firm into its next chapter and ensure its long-term success. Working alongside John Maciver, I will focus on investing where our clients need us most and on ensuring we continue to evolve as an international strategic adviser for our global client base. Maciver, senior partner elected, said: “Since joining as a trainee to leading one of our largest global practices, Richard has already had a significant impact on our business.
