Pinsent Masons hires Lucía González as energy partner
Pinsent Masons has appointed Lucía González as M&A Energy Partner in its Madrid office, the firm announced on 5 May 2026. González joins from Ontier, where she served as the partner responsible for the renewables sector, and will strengthen the Spanish energy team led by Hermenegildo Altozano.
The appointment follows other recent hires to the Spanish energy team, including Leticia Sitges as Legal Director. Francisco Aldavero, Head of the Madrid office.
Julia Maguire, Global Head of Energy, highlighted González’s expertise across the sector as valuable to the firm’s ability to support clients delivering complex, cross-border energy projects at scale.
The profile
González brings more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector, with a track record advising investors, developers, producers, contractors, distributors and energy suppliers on the structuring and development of complex transactional matters, both in Spain and internationally.
Her practice covers the acquisition and disposal of wind and solar portfolios, investment platforms and bespoke solutions for emerging business models including self-consumption, hybrid projects, energy storage, renewable gases and data centres.
