Pérez-Llorca opens in Brussels

Pérez-Llorca has opened its new Brussels office with the aim of being closer to European institutions and courts. The firm announced at the end of last year its intention to expand its presence abroad with this new office, along with the incorporation of Sonsoles Centeno (pictured) as a partner to head the new office.

“A large part of Pérez-Llorca’s work focuses on advising large Spanish companies with interests related to the regulatory activity of the European institutions – explains the law firm in a note – In addition, the law firm is very active in litigation before the Court of Justice of the European Union, in proceedings before the European Commission, and in matters in which European law plays an essential role, so having a permanent base in Brussels will bring closer and facilitate relations between the firm, its clients and these institutions”.

The new office is headed by Sonsoles Centeno, an expert partner in European Union and Competition Law, a lawyer with more than 18 years of experience in different positions in the public administration. Centeno will work with a team of three lawyers who are experts in Competition and Regulatory Law.

This is the third office that Pérez-Llorca opens in foreign territory, thus continuing with its growth and internationalisation strategy that began in 2015 with the opening of its offices in London and New York.
Located in the European Quarter of Brussels, the purpose of this location is to be close to its clients and the institutions with which the professionals located there will be working. Also in pursuit of this goal, just over a year ago the Firm moved its London office from the City to the Mayfair district to get closer to the large international funds, which represent a large part of its client portfolio.
