Pérez-Llorca appoints four new partners

Rais Amils joins as partner, Andy Ramos, Cosme Colmenero and Nasif Hamed are also promoted and Adriana Martín as counsel

pjimage 2022 01 24T085716.270Pérez-Llorca has incorporated Rais Amils as partner, to strengthen the Intellectual, Industrial and Technology Property practice of the Barcelona office. The incorporation of Rais is part of the development plan for this practice area, whose creation and growth are considered strategic for the firm.

Amils has more than 20 years of experience and has developed her career at Clifford Chance She is specialised in Industrial and Intellectual Property Litigation, representing innovative companies in the pharmaceutical sector in defense of their patents. She also has experience in Trademark Litigation, Unfair Competition and Competition Law.

This appointment joins the promotions of Andy Ramos, Cosme Colmenero and Nasif Hamed, who become partners of the firm, with Adriana Martín as Counsel.

Andy Ramos joined Pérez-Llorca in 2019 and holds a degree in Law from the University of Seville and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and from the Whittier Law School, in the USA. Ramos has experience advising clients on the identification, protection, transmission and acquisition of intangible assets, including in legal proceedings, in relation to software, video games, audiovisual content, music and business secrets. He is also a speaker at numerous postgraduate programmes and international conferences, author of various publications, co-founder of the Spanish Association of Entertainment Law (DENAE) and member of the Academic Council of the Foundation for Research on Entertainment Law. Law and Business (FIDE).

Cosme Colmenero holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). Since joining the firm in 2019 to reinforce the practice of financial restructuring and pre-bankruptcy law, he provides advice on restructuring and refinancing operations, as well as leveraged, corporate and project financing.

Nasif Hamed has worked at Pérez-Llorca since 2014 and holds a degree in Law from the Alfonso X el Sabio University and a Master’s in Business Law from the Garrigues Study Center. In addition, he attended the International Business Law Programme taught by Centro de Estudios Garrigues and Harvard Law School. Hamed has advised on M&A operations, mergers and acquisitions, investment structures and partner agreements, creation of joint ventures and strategic alliances, as well as corporate restructuring, with both private and listed companies and private equity funds, all for different industries. In addition, he regularly collaborates as a professor in matters of Commercial Law in the Master’s Degree in Business Legal Advice at the Carlos III University of Madrid and in the Master’s Degree in Business Law at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas.

Adriana Martín joined Pérez-Llorca in 2008 at the Barcelona office. Since then, she has provided advice on various Real Estate operations and in Real Estate and Commercial Due Diligence processes for national operations. She hods a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master’s degree in International Business Law from ESADE.
