Pérez-Llorca appoints Cosme Colmenero as Corporate counsel

Pérez-Llorca has appointed Cosme Colmenero as a new counsel in Corporate Law to strengthen the Corporate Restructuring practice area

With a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE, Colmenero has over 15 years of professional experience in this practice area. He comes from Linklaters where he was a managing associate since 2006. Previously, he worked as an associate at Ashurst.

Cosme Colmenero previously worked in a number of international firms and is specialised in Restructuring and refinancing transactions, as well as leveraged, Corporate and Project Finance. Recognised in various international directories such as Chambers Global and Chambers Europe in the Banking & Finance practice, he is joining Pérez-Llorca’s Corporate team and will work hand in hand with Juan Oñate, with the goal of strengthening the restructuring practice area from a transactional point of view and becoming a leader in the Spanish legal market.

In addition to his career path within law firms, Colmenero worked for one of the main British banks as part of a secondment programme, where he was involved in corporate financing transactions subject to both Spanish and English law.

Additionally, he combines his professional practice with volunteer work in Cambodia, collaborating in education and sport projects with disadvantaged groups.
