Pere Lluís Mellado, new Barça’s Legal director

FC Barcelona has appointed Pere Lluís Mellado, ex-Reus CF member of the Board of Directors and secretary, as its new director of the Legal department

As recently reported by mundodeportivo.com, internally, it has been highlighted to the rest of the club’s employees that Mellado “has a degree in Law and brings more than 30 years of experience in the legal profession, as well as in the Legal department of the Club for more than ten years now. His specialities are Sports, Commercial and Civil Law”.

According to this same media, Mellado, who was in Barça’s Legal department from 2004 to 2010, was recently a director and secretary of the Board of Directors of Reus with Joan Oliver, the former CEO of FC Barcelona in the last part of Joan Laporta’s previous mandate. Mellado (pictured centre), according to public registry information, was appointed director and secretary of Reus in August 2014 and stepped down from those roles in 2019.
