pbbr advises Gavari on its entry in Portugal
pbbr has advised the Spanish company Gavari Asset Management on its entry into the Portuguese market through the acquisition of a plot of land for construction in Monte da Caparica, Almada. The acquisition, valued at around 6 million euros, aims to develop a student residence. The future building will have an area of approximately 10,000 square meters and will feature 400 beds, as well as outdoor areas for sports activities.
The project aims to strengthen the supply of quality student accommodation in that area of Almada municipality, where several university campuses are located—a growing segment due to increased demand from both national and international students.
The pbbr team involved in this transaction was led by Pedro Pinto (pictured), partner in the real estate department, with the support of Isabel Brazão de Castro, coordinating associate in the same area, Tânia Osório and André Bernardo Alves, partner and associate in the urban planning and construction department, and Mário Silva Costa, partner in the tax department.
