Pavia e Ansaldo opens new office in Madrid

Pavia e Ansaldo has opened an office in Madrid to strengthened its position within the Spanish market, offering legal services mainly to Italian and European companies and investment funds operating in Spain, with a particular emphasis on M&A deals.

The Spanish lawyer Javier Vicente will operate in the new venue located in the Salamanca district and under the guidance of Meritxell Roca Ortega, partner in charge of the Barcelona office, the Spanish Desk in Milan and now also of the Madrid office, alongside a local team with an in-depth knowledge of the language and culture of both Spain and Italy.

According to Roca Ortega: ‘Madrid is one of the major European business centres, due to its privileged relationship with Latin America, and is particularly dynamic in industries such as finance and telecommunications, as well as being a hub for the main multinationals based in Spain. This new location fits perfectly with the activity of our offices in Barcelona and worldwide’.

But, above all, Roca Ortega adds: ‘This is a client-oriented decision: our clients required us to provide on-site advice from Madrid. We will be here to support them’.

Pavia e Ansaldo’s managing partner, Stefano Bianchi, emphasizes that this decision ‘is a further step on the road to the firm’s internationalisation. Our aim is to be present wherever we can offer added value to our clients through our community of professionals, with its own style and values — trust in the law, an interdisciplinary and multicultural approach and openness to social and economic changes’.

Thanks to this new opening of the Madrid office, Pavia e Ansaldo consolidates its presence in Spain and now counts on 4 offices outside Italy — Madrid, Barcelona, Moscow and Tokyo —, in addition to the ones located in Milan, Rome and Turin.
