Pares advises Sevenair on acquisition of L3Harris

Pares Advogados has advised Sevenair Academy on the acquisition of all the aeronautical assets of the North American company L3Harris Technologies, located in Portugal. The advice provided by Pares included the corporate reorganisation of the companies belonging to Sevenair Academy, as well as the negotiation and formalisation of the acquisition of the assets of L3Harris Technologies. The work was coordinated by Tiago Gama (pictured), with the participation of the associate from the Tax Law area, Maria Norton dos Reis, and the associates from the Commercial and Corporate Law area, André Rei and Marta Belchior.

With this acquisition, which took place after the entry of a new shareholder in the company – the “family office” Worldapproach, by Isaías Gomes Teixeira – Sevenair Academy becomes the largest pilot training school in Europe, with two training bases (Cascais and Ponte de Sor) where it offers more than 30,000 square meters of facilities, around half a hundred aircraft, mostly under the age of four, six flight simulators and a campus to house hundreds of students.

Sevenair Academy was founded in 1988 and is part of the Sevenair Group. Sevenair Academy is the main Aviation School in Portugal and one of the largest in Europe, offering training courses for pilots, flight operations officers and maintenance technicians. All its courses are internationally recognized and certified by the competent authorities.
