Ontier hires Bernadette Accili as tax partner
Ontier has hired Bernadette Accili as partner in Italy. She will set up and lead the firm’s new tax practice at Ontier Italia in Rome.
The profile
Accili has more than 25 years of experience in tax advice on securitisations, non-performing loans (NPL), distressed debt trading, alternative financing, structured finance and asset finance. Her practice also covers corporate restructurings, M&A transactions and corporate reorganisations. She has also advised clients in complex tax proceedings before the Italian tax courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Her career spans Italy, Europe and the United States. She holds a law degree from Sapienza University of Rome and two LL.M. degrees, from the College of Europe in Bruges and from Georgetown University Law Center, the latter as a Fulbright scholar. She is admitted to the bars of Milan and New York and is qualified to appear before the Italian Court of Cassation and the US Supreme Court. She is also active in academia and takes part in international legal committees and forums.
