Ontier has advised on the sale of 51% MadCool Events to Mahou San Miguel
Ontier has advised the shareholders of MadCool Events in its sale to Mahou San Miguel. The firm team has been formed by partner Víctor Artola Recolons, together with associate Francisco de Almeida Viegas, both from the corporate and M&A department of the Madrid office.
The company has debuted with the exploitation of the land where the Mad Cool Festival was held and which hosted last Friday, July 14, the concert of Harry Styles and other relevant musical events.
This space, located in Madrid’s Villaverde district, aspires to become a benchmark in the national and international music offer, and will help Madrid to offer large-capacity events at any time of the year, a possibility it lacked until now. With this participation, the brewery diversifies its business, demonstrating its firm and historical commitment to the capital, its leisure and entertainment offer and its dynamization.
Mahou San Miguel has always been linked, through its brands, to the world of leisure and music, especially live music, a territory around which it has created unique encounters and experiences for consumers. “With this acquisition, we contribute to reinforce our leadership and turn Madrid into the stage to host the best and biggest music events held in Spain. It also complements our Company’s current presence in other venues in the capital, which constitute a fundamental asset to promote leisure and entertainment in the city,” said Alberto Rodríguez-Toquero, CEO of Mahou San Miguel.
