Oliva-Ayala Abogados promotes González Gugel to Partner
Oliva-Ayala Abogados has announced the promotion of Jaime González Gugel to partner, recognizing his distinguished career in criminal litigation and his significant contributions to the firm’s growth and success.
González Gugel joined the firm in 2010 and has over 16 years of experience in a wide range of criminal proceedings. Throughout his career, he has advised individuals and corporations on complex criminal and economic criminal law cases, including high-profile matters at the national level. His areas of expertise include fraud prevention, cybercrime, civil liability arising from criminal offenses, and extradition procedures, among others. Additionally, he has developed and implemented compliance programs for both national and international companies.
Since 2022, his work has been recognized by the prestigious Chambers & Partners directory in the ‘Up and Coming’ category, as well as by Legal 500. In addition to his professional practice, Jaime is a regular contributor to specialized legal publications. He is also a professor at the School of Legal Practice at the Complutense University of Madrid and teaches in the Master’s in Criminal Law at Rey Juan Carlos University. Furthermore, he is a member of the Exam Development Committee of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
