Munich Re Specialty appoints Carmen Tapia Torán as legal counsel
Munich Re Specialty Spain has appointed Carmen Tapia Torán as legal counsel in Madrid. She joins from Bird & Bird, where she most recently served as a senior associate in the insurance and reinsurance practice.
Her work included advising insurers on coverage analysis, insurance distribution, policy wording and regulatory developments, as well as handling claims and complex disputes.
The profile
Previously, she worked in the dispute resolution departments of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Hogan Lovells, advising on product liability, insurance litigation and civil liability matters. Her experience also includes regulatory and compliance advice to pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
