Morais Leitao and PLMJ advise on Growth Club Capital’s acquisition of Arturai Group

The buyer, Growth Club Capital, was advised by BDO with Morais Leitão, while the aspects related to financing and guarantees were advised by Dentons and PLMJ

pjimage 2021 06 24T092150.302Growth Club Capital (GCC), an investment company made up of several top-level entrepreneurs and managers in the Italian and international markets, announced the completion of the investment operation in Arturai Group, a leading group providing global Web Security and Performance services based on the Akamai platform, a global leader in Content Delivery Services that manages over 40% of the world’s web traffic.

Following the completion of the transaction, the Albatross Cloud Club deal organised by GCC will become the new majority shareholder of Arturai Group with a 70% stake, while the current founder & ceo of the company will maintain an interest in the company with a 30% stake.

Throughout the transaction, the buyer was advised by BDO, with a multi-country team from Portugal, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The Portuguese law firm Morais Leitão provided assistance in relation to the Legal and Tax aspects of the operation (M&A and Financing).

With reference to the loan, BPM was assisted by Dentons. For the aspects under Portuguese law related to financing and guarantees, Dentons worked in coordination with PLMJ, with a team led by partner Bruno Ferreira (pictured left) and made up of Sara Lemos de Meneses (pictured centre) and Inês Crispim Ribeiro (pictured right).
