Montero Aramburu advises on the acquisition of a PV plant in Fregenal de la Sierra

Law firm Montero Aramburu has advised ERG, one of Italy’s leading independent power producers, on the acquisition, through its indirect subsidiary ERG Spain Holco, of a 24.999 MWp solar photovoltaic plant in Fregenal de la Sierra.

The plant, built in 2022, is currently in the commissioning phase, and will have an estimated annual production of around 50 GWh. This figure corresponds to more than 2,000 equivalent hours, one of the highest in Europe. With this operation, ERG expects to reach an installed capacity of 266 MWp in Spain by the end of the year, consolidating its position in the country.

Montero Aramburu’s partners who have led the legal team in this transaction are Miguel Cuesta Boothman and Ignacio Albendea Solís with the support of senior associates from the corporate department Víctor Moya Ximénez, Rebeca Cuesta and attorney Luis Villafranca López; and associates from the public and regulatory department Almudena González Tirado and Pilar García González.

Miguel Cuesta Boothman and Ignacio Albendea Solís, declare that, “thanks to our strong multidisciplinary team in the Energy area, we have been able to add value to the client and the transaction, accompanying them throughout the decision-making process. With this transaction, we confirm once again our commitment to the energy sector.”
