MLGTS advises on €35m transfer of Sanches to Bayern Munich

Portuguese law firm MLGTS advised football agents Gestifute in relation to the transfer of midfielder Renato Sanches from Benfica to Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old signed a five year contract with Bayern that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2021.

The basic fee for the player is €35 million, but potential bonus payments – that could become due if, for example, the player is named in the World Team of the Year or FIFA World Player of the Year – mean that the transfer could be worth up to €80 million.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “FC Bayern has been watching Renato Sanches for a long period, we’re pleased we’ve been able to sign him despite big-name international competition. Renato is dynamic, a good tackler and a technically skilled midfielder who’ll add even more strength to our team.”
