Miranda advises on two international public tenders

Miranda & Associados has advised Majestic Glow Marine, CoCo Yachts, and SCMA on Lisbon metropolitan river transportation projects

Miranda & Associados has advised on the preparation and presentation of two international public tenders aimed at implementing projects and structuring actions for river transport in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

One of the tenders aims to renovate Transtejo’s fleet by designing and constructing ten new ships. Transtejo is the operator of river transportation between Tejo’s South Bank and Lisbon. Transtejo intends to acquire electric propulsion ships, a worldwide innovation, with an estimated investment of €57 million. The delivery of the ships is expected between 2022 and 2024. Miranda advised Majestic Glow Marine Pte. Ltd, a Singapore reference in the field, in partnership with Dutch designer CoCo Yachts B.V.

On the second tender, Miranda & Associados advised the sector’s leading Portuguese maritime consultancy Sociedade de Consultores Marítimos, Lda (SCMA). The tender aims to acquire management and global maintenance services for ten ships in Soflusa’s fleet, a company that ensures the provision of the public transport service on the Lisbon – Barreiro route. The estimated budget is around €10 million.
