M-E&R adds Pablo Doñate as Litigation partner

Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera Abogados has incorporated Pablo Doñate as a partner to reinforce its Litigation area

Doñate (pictured) has a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Studies from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and a Master’s degree in Legal Consultancy for Companies from the Instituto de Empresa (IE Law School). He also holds an Advanced Studies diploma in the university doctorate programme in the speciality of Litigation. He has completed various advanced programmes in Litigation and Arbitration at the Instituto de Empresa (IE Law School).

Before joining Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera Abogados as a partner, he developed his professional career in the Litigation and Arbitration department of national and international firms such as Cuatrecasas, Ashurst and Clifford Chance. He has advised national and foreign clients from all kinds of sectors (infrastructure, energy, insurance, financial, services, commercial) on Public and Private Law, both in the legal field and in the field of national and international Arbitration, where he has also acted as arbitrator. He has qualified experience in all types of criminal Litigation related to business, including those processed before the Audiencia Nacional (National High Court) and the Tribunal del Jurado.

He is also a Procedural Law associate professor at IE Law School and an associate professor in the Master of Access to Law at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). He is also a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club and Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration of the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid and the European Association of Arbitration (AEADE).
