L&W with Opdenergy on its debut on the Stock Exchange

Latham & Watkins has advised Opdenergy, an independent renewable energy producer focused on solar photovoltaic and wind energy technologies, on its debut on the First Market of the Spanish Stock Exchanges on Friday 22nd July.

Opdenergy debuted at a price of 4.75 euros per share, which has resulted in a market capitalisation of 503 million euros. The company has applied a discount in the employee sub-tranche at a price per share 4.275 euros.

The success of this ipo reflects the favourable predisposition of investors to the opportunities offered by the renewables sector.

The Latham & Watkins multidisciplinary team has been led in Madrid by Ignacio Gómez Sancha, managing partner, and María José Descalzo, partner of the Corporate department, together with lawyers Lucía de Bustos and Ana Bautista. Ryan Benedict, Capital Markets partner in Milan, also acted on the operation.

Linklaters has advised the managers on the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Opdenergy with Jorge Alegre, Iñigo Berrícano, Federico Briano, Pablo Medina, Héctor Garrido and Jorge Suárez.
