Loewe appoints Jaime López de Villarreal as general counsel
Loewe has appointed Jaime López de Villarreal as general counsel & secretary of the board, expanding his responsibilities within the Spanish luxury house.
López de Villarreal, who previously served as head of legal at Loewe, has taken on the new role in Madrid in August 2026. In addition to continuing to lead the company’s legal function, he will now assume the role of secretary of Loewe’s board of directors.
His appointment brings together his experience in legal affairs and corporate governance, particularly within the luxury sector. Since 2017, López de Villarreal has served on the boards of directors of Loro Piana Spain and Rimowa Spain, giving him experience in board-level governance within the industry.

Before joining Loewe, López de Villarreal spent more than seven years at López-Ibor DPM, where he worked in the corporate department. He previously practised at PwC Spain, focusing on financial law.
