Linklaters has advised Sofina and Portobello Capital on the acquisition of a minority stake in Proeduca, holding company of UNIR – Universidad Internacional de La Rioja valued at €1.4 billion.
This transaction aligns with the significant transformation in the education sector, where online higher education is emerging as a high-quality alternative, enhancing social mobility, equality, and employability.
The team was led by Victor Manchado and Elena Rodriguez Fernández, with support from José Buigues and Gabriela De Remedios, as well as a team from the Brussels office led by An-Sofie Van Hootegem.
