Linklaters advises lender group on AmRest financing amendment and extension

Linklaters has advised the group of financing institutions on the execution of an agreement to amend, upsize and extend the financing facilities of AmRest, one of Europe’s leading restaurant operators.

The transaction continues Linklaters’ longstanding support to the lender group and follows the original financing agreed in 2023, on which the firm also acted for the banks.

The deal had a significant cross-border dimension, involving financial institutions from Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands, as well as AmRest group companies across several European jurisdictions, including Spain, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and France.

The agreement modifies the terms of AmRest’s existing financing arrangements and extends the group’s access to funding as it continues to operate one of the largest restaurant platforms in Europe. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The team

The Linklaters team advising the lender group was led by banking partner Francisco Sainz-Trápaga Dueñas, supported by associates Juan Miguel Rodríguez and Alejandro Flujas López.
