Linklaters and Garrigues advise on €1billion sale of Air Europa to Iberia

Linklaters’ Madrid office advised Globalia on the sale of its air division, comprised by Air Europa, Aeronova and León Activos Aeronáuticos, to IB OPCO Holding, a company controlled by IAG. The deal was valued at €1 billion.

The team from Linklaters included corporate partner Alejandro Ortiz (pictured), managing associate Esteban Arza and associate Carmen Herrera. The Competition team included partner Jaime Pérez-Bustamante and Counsel Fredrik Lowhagen.

Garrigues advised IAG. The team was formed by Fernando Vives (executive chairmen), Álvaro López Jorrín (joint partner in charge of the Corporate Law Department) and María Caño, senior associate of this department.
