Law firms to rock Lisbon
A music festival featuring bands made up of lawyers from leading Portuguese firms takes place in Lisbon this evening.
Proceeds raised from the annual Rock ´n´ Law event – which will feature bands from firms including Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho, PLMJ, MLGTS, and Vieira de Almeida – will go to the Re-Food project.
Other firms with bands taking part in the event include CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut and Linklaters, Garrigues, Miranda, Correia, Amendoeira & Associados, and SRS.
Re-Food recovers food set to go to waste, but in perfect condition, and turns it into thousands of meals to feed those in need.
With the support of Rock’n’Law, the Re-Food project will open 20 new centers by 2015, multiplying their response capacity by five times: 3,750 volunteers making 900,000 meals per year and supporting 4,225 beneficiaries.
The event will take place at Meninos Do Rio, 6ª Edição.
