Law firm quartet advises on Gaea´s €10m investment in Orgoa platform

Evergreen has advised Gaea Inversión, Sáez Abogados advised Orgoa, Cuatrecasas counselled Caixabank, and the Financial, Tax, Legal and Labour Due Diligence was carried out by ILV Silver

Gaea has formalised an investment of €10 million in the Orgoa technological platform for the insurance sector, with the aim of boosting its growth in new verticals and geographies.

In a statement, the firm explained that CaixaBank has been in charge of both coordinating the operation and the financing, while Cuatrecasas has been responsible for advising CaixaBank on the financing.

Orgoa, founded in Malaga in 2010, is a technology-based company that operates through platforms in the fields of surgical prostheses, central purchasing of medical supplies and equipment, a second opinion in the specialities of haemodynamics and oncology and in the area of telemedicine.

“We are very excited to be able to accompany Orgoa and his team in this new phase of growth, in which we will seek to expand both in the international market and in other verticals, leveraging on the technological platform that the company has created,” said the director of Gaea, Ramón Resa.

For his part, the founder of Orgoa, Antonio Ortiz, stressed that they see this alliance as a great opportunity for the development of their company.
