Laura de los Santos, new senior manager at EY Abogados
EY Abogados, a law firm led by Adolfo Zunzunegui, has hired Laura de los Santos Hidalgo, formerly of Baker McKenzie, as senior manager of the employment law department. She will report directly to the partner in charge of the department, Silvia Bauzá.

De los Santos, who has extensive experience in strategic employment advice at leading law firms, has spent much of her professional career at Baker McKenzie, where she was team leader in the employment team. Previously, she also worked at Cuatrecasas.
She specialises in providing legal and employment advice to large national and international corporations on matters such as the negotiation of senior management employment contracts; the negotiation of collective agreements and redundancies; trade union proceedings; employment litigation; human resources policies; the negotiation of equality and remote working plans; investigations through the internal complaints channel; and M&A transactions.
She holds a degree in Law and a Diploma in Business Studies (E-1) from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In addition, she has taken other courses, of a non-strictly legal nature, at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School (Philadelphia) and Harvard Business School (Boston). She has also been a lecturer at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) for several years.
This appointment follows other recent additions to the firm to strengthen the employment law practice, such as Silvia Bauzá as partner in charge of the firm’s employment law practice and Alejandro Gil as partner in the Barcelona office.
