Lara Reis will head internal control at Novo Banco
New chapter. Novo Banco has promoted Lara Reis as head of internal control and regulatory affairs. Until now, the lawyer held the position of head of regulatory affairs.
About Lara Reis
Lara Reis has 20 years of international experience in the financial sector, both as a lawyer and as a general manager in banks. With a degree in law, she has developed over the years a solid experience in regulation, risk management, internal control, compliance and internal governance. She has also worked in large firms such as PLMJ, VdA Vieira de Almeida and Clifford Chance.
In her new position as coordinating director, she will be responsible for the management of the internal control system, the supervision of the bank’s relations with regulators and data protection. Focusing on prudential issues, SREP, regulatory preparation, monitoring of internal control weaknesses and preparation of the Self-Assessment Report. She will also be responsible for the adequacy of the Novobanco group.
