L&W counsels Skydance Media on Ilion studios acquisition

Latham & Watkins Madrid office has counselled Californian Skydance Media on the acquisition of the animation unit of Madrid-based Ilion Studios

The strategic acquisition combines Skydance’s creative capital and Ilion’s talent and creates a combined workforce of close to 500 employees. This way, Madrid will become the European headquarters of the company under the brand Skydance Animation Madrid.

Latham & Watkins LLP (Los Angeles and Madrid) acted as legal adviser to Skydance Media and Loyra Abogados (Madrid) provided counsel to Ilion in the transaction.
