KWM incorporates new lawyer
King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) expands its investment funds practice area with the incorporation of a new lawyer, George Furnivall, an English professional specialized in the fundraising and structuring of investment vehicles.
George, who has more than 8 years of experience, has developed his professional career in London and Dubai, where he has advised sovereign wealth funds, private equity and venture capital funds, infrastructure funds and hedge funds in all commercial and regulatory matters related with the strategy and constitution of their investment vehicles.
He also has extensive experience advising managers on secondary transactions, fund restructuring and co-investments, as well as advising and negotiating the entry of investors in this kind of vehicles. Among the clients he has advised are some of the leading institutional investors and private fund managers in Europe, the United States and Asia.
Isabel Rodríguez, partner and head of KWM’s funds team in Spain, points out that “George has an outstanding reputation and trajectory in the international market and his incorporation will undoubtedly contribute to maintaining the leadership position that KWM already has in the private equity sector in Spain”.
George Furnivall joins King & Wood Mallesons from the London office of the US firm Kirkland & Ellis. Previously he was also an associate in Allen & Overy and Norton Rose Fulbright.
