KPMG Abogados advises Arcano Partners on the purchase of two aircraft leased to Wizz Air through its aviation fund
Arcano Partners, the leading independent investment banking and alternative asset management firm in Spain, has announced the closing of the second transaction of the Arcano Aviation Fund, FCR, and Arcano Capital Aviation SCR vehicles with the acquisition of 2 Airbus assets under lease with Wizz Air, a leading European airline in short haul traffic in Central and Eastern Europe. Arena Aviation Capital (Ireland) will act as lease Manager and financing has been provided by Airbus Bank.
These are assets that have traditionally been one of Airbus’ most sought after and sold aircraft since the delivery of the first unit in 1993. To date, more than 2,700 have been delivered and there are orders for more than 5,000 units.
“The Airbus A321 is a highly reliable asset and a perfect complement to our first deal, 1x Boeing 777-300ER with Air Canada,” said Jon Garaiyurrebaso, managing partner of Arcano Asset & Capital Finance (Arcano Partners’ advisor for this strategy).
