Israel de Diego joins Ramón y Cajal as partner

Ramón y Cajal Abogados has added Israel de Diego as a partner in its M&A practice. The move marks a return for de Diego, who previously spent ten years at the law firm. De Diego joins from Dentons, where he had served as a partner in the corporate/M&A practice in Madrid for the past five years.

Over more than two decades, he has advised listed companies, financial institutions, private equity funds and family businesses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and financial restructurings, and other significant corporate transactions.

Francisco Palá, managing partner of Ramón y Cajal Abogados, said that “Israel’s return to the firm, together with his professional background and existing knowledge of the firm’s culture and working methods, makes his arrival an important reinforcement for the M&A practice”.

For his part, Israel de Diego said: “Returning to the firm where I grew professionally, and doing so to contribute to a solid project with future ambitions, is a great satisfaction. I approach this new stage with enthusiasm and with the aim of contributing my experience to continue supporting clients in their operations and in the decisions that are key to their businesses.”
