InspiraLaw 2025

Iberian Lawyer held its InspiraLaw “Diversity & Inclusion” night 2025, with an outstanding participation of the Spanish and Portuguese legal market.

One more year and for the ninth consecutive time, 50 women in the Spanish and Portuguese legal profession were recognized. The Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid brought together important personalities from the in-house world and the private sector.

Iberian Lawyer selected the list of winners, announced in the March issue, after receiving hundreds of nominations. The list includes, in the 2025 edition, women who have stood out, inspiring colleagues and clients. Also, women who have spearheaded disruptive initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion.

The gala opened with a welcome message from Aldo Scaringella, CEO of LC Publishing Group, followed by a speech from Ilaria Iaquinta, editor in chief of Iberian Lawyer. As a new feature this year, four of the honored women delivered an InspiraTalk—an inspirational speech sharing their experiences and the challenges they have faced along the way.

The speakers included Silvia Bauzá, partner and head of Markets and Corporate Development in the Legal Area, as well as head of the Labor Practice at EY; Marlen Estévez Sanz, partner of the Litigation Department and director of the Mediation & Arbitration Department at Roca Junyent, as well as President and Founder of Women in a Legal World (WLW); María González Gordon, managing partner and head of the Intellectual Property & Digital Business Practice at CMS; and Alicia Muñoz Lombardía, deputy secretary of the Board and head of Legal Retail & Commercial at Santander Spain. Each of them contributed their vision to the sector.

The InspiraLaw 2025 event was backed by leading Spanish and Portuguese law firms. In addition, the organizers emphasized that, in their eyes, all the nominated women were winners. Congratulations to all of them!
