IGNIS Energía brings in Legal counsel from Cuatrecasas
Integrated energy company IGNIS Energía has hired Cuatrecasas principal associate Íñigo Várez García-Ovies as its new Legal counsel
Íñigo Várez García-Ovies (pictured) holds a double degree in Law and Journalism from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and holds a Management Programme on Refinancing and Restructuring from IEB. He is also QLTS OSCE qualified.
He started his carreer as a Commercial lawyer at EJASO, joining Deloitte´s Restructuring and Banking department in 2014. In 2016 he joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo for one year, after which he became an associate at Cuatrecasas Barcelona office, where he worked in Real Estate Financing, Project and Acquisition Finance and Restructuring, making principal associate in the firm´s Banking & Finance department in 2020.
He specialises in Corporate and Acquisition Finance (LBO/MBO), Real Estate Finance, the financing of infrastructures and projects, sports finance, asset finance and debt refinancing, in both domestic and cross border structures.
IGNIS Energía closed 2020 with a turnover of €130 million, more than 200 employees and a renewables portfolio of 14,200 MW, with 2,900MW of assets under management.
