Iberdrola closes its capital increase for €5.016m: Advisors
Uría Menéndez has advised Iberdrola on its cash capital increase for an effective amount of €5.016 million to finance the company’s investment plan in electricity networks in countries with high credit ratings and stable regulatory frameworks and, selectively, in renewables. Iberdrola is Europe’s leading utility by market capitalisation and one of the largest in the world in its sector.
This is the second largest accelerated placement of new shares in Spain in history and the largest ever carried out by a non-financial company. It is also the third largest primary ABO in Europe since 2000 and the second largest carried out by a non-financial company.
