HSF, Sérvulo, UM advise on Antin´s acquisition of Miya from Bridgepoint

Herbert Smith Freehills, Sérvulo & Associados and Uría Menéndez have been involved in the assistance with the acquisition of a majority stake in Miya Group from Bridgepoint by Antin Infrastructure partners

Antin Infrastructure Partners announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a majority interest in Miya Group, a leading global efficiency-oriented water operator, from Bridgepoint.

Following completion of the acquisition, Antin will work with Miya’s management team, led by CEO Amit Horman, to support growth opportunities in water concessions and PPPs in Europe and North America, as well as the delivery of further water efficiency projects around the world.

Antin was advised by Herbert Smith Freehills and Sérvulo & Associados, while Bridgepoint was advised by Uría Menéndez.

Uría Menéndez advised Bridgepoint with a Madrid office team led by Commercial partner and head of M&A and Private Equity Manuel Echenique (pictured left) and included International M&A English solicitor Rachel Brown and international counsel Alex Bircham. Senior associate Miguel Stokes and junior associate Luis Soares assisted from the Lisbon office.

Herbert Smith Freehills advised Antin with a team led by Corporate partner Pablo García-Nieto (pictured centre) and included foreign lawyer Soledad Bialet, M&A senior associate Óscar Cabezuela, Corporate senior associate Patricia Jaquotot and Commercial associate Mariola Arenas.

Sérvulo & Associados was part of the multi-jurisdictional team that advised on the acquisition, representing Antin in close collaboration with HSF, with a team led by Commercial and Corporate partner Teresa Anselmo Vaz (pictured right), together with Public Law partner Ana Luísa Guimarães, and Corporate, Commercial and M&A associate Pedro José Alvim. Sérvulo´s team involved a total of eight practice areas and 18 partners and lawyers.
