HSF Kramer promotes two Of Counsel in Spain

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has named Lucía Garralda and Leonie Timmers as Of Counsel in its Spanish office, effective 1 May 2026. Both were previously senior associates at the firm. The appointments form part of the firm’s annual global promotion round, which this year has produced 25 new partners — including Miguel García-Casas from the Spanish office (here the news) — and 32 counsel across its offices worldwide.

Profiles and practice areas

Lucía Garralda, formerly a senior associate in the corporate and M&A practice, brings broad experience in domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings of multinational groups, shareholder and investment agreements, private equity, board secretarial work, and due diligence processes across a wide range of sectors. She is qualified to practise law in both Spain and New York.

Leonie Timmers specialises in ESG and sustainable finance initiatives. She advises companies and funds on sustainability reporting and due diligence matters, particularly under the SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, ISSB, and CSDDD frameworks. She also provides advice on the review of external communications to assess clients’ greenwashing and social-washing risk profiles, as well as on the development, implementation, and maintenance of resilient ESG structures.
