HSF appoints Alvaro Gross of counsel to lead Real Estate Funds area

Herbert Smith Freehills has promoted a total of 29 lawyers to counsel in various offices

The firm has appointed Álvaro Gross (pictured) as new of counsel. He joined HSF in 2014 as a Madrid office Real Estate associate. After a break of almost two years as Legal Counsel in the British group Intu, specialized in the development and management of shopping centres, Álvaro returned to Herbert Smith Freehills in July 2019 as head of the Real Estate Funds area. His extensive experience focuses on sectors such as retail, sale & leaseback transactions, joint ventures and other commercial operations, such as Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity transactions. Throughout his professional career, he has participated in the legal advice and analysis of the Real Estate sector risks concerning complex large property portfolios purchases, distressed transactions and non-performing loans acquisition.

A total of 29 lawyers have been promoted to counsel in Herbert Smith Freehills various offices, all of them effective May 1.
