Hispacolex adds Civil Law professor as of counsel
Civil Law full professor Mª Carmen García Garnica, has joined Hispacolex as academic of counsel
Granada-based law firm Hispacolex, a partner of Hispajuris and member of Unión Internacional de Abogados (IUA), has recruited Universidad de Granada full profesor Mª Carmen García Garnica as of counsel.
“I am very pleased with the incorporation of Mª Carmen García to Hispacolex; she brings to the firm the training and experience of her renowned specialisation in the areas of Obligations and Contract Law, Civil Liability – with special attention to the field of health – and the protection of consumers and users in the digital society,” said Javier López y García de la Serrana (pictured left), founding partner of Hispacolex.
Mª Carmen García Garnica (pictured right) is also an expert in real estate investment and its relationship with the financial market, which is the subject of her doctoral thesis -Real Estate Financial Leasing-. It is also worth highlighting her extensive teaching and research career with stays at the Universities of Bologna, Bari, London and Oxford, having received several awards, including the Universidad de Granada Teaching Excellence Award.
She holds a PhD in Law from the Universidad de Granada, graded with the maximum qualification of outstanding cum laude unanimously. García Garnica is, since 2012, a full Civil Law professor at the Universidad de Granada and co-directs the Master’s degree in Civil Liability since its first edition in 2013.
She is the author of more than a hundred publications in prestigious publishing houses and journals, and since joining the university, she has combined her teaching, research and knowledge transfer activities with intense university management work. In addition, she has organised numerous scientific activities in her speciality and has given lectures and conferences at more than a hundred national and international congresses, seminars and conferences.
