Grant Thornton renews its Vigo headquarters

Grant Thornton has renewed its Vigo office due to its growth: the team has tripled in size, has incorporated new Business Law specialities, along with Corporate and Tax

The professional services firm Grant Thornton announces its renewed office in Vigo, almost three years after starting its operations in the Galician market. The rapid expansion of the business and the growth in clients has forced the firm’s managing partners in Galicia, Eva Hernando and José Ramón Cuervo, to look for new premises. The new office is located in a central, close and strategic location of Vigo, at Plaza de Compostela, 20.

In addition, the needs of Grant Thornton’s clients in Galicia have required the expansion of the Business Law specialities on which the team advises; from the Commercial and Tax lines with which it began, it has now expanded its capabilities with new areas such as Litigation, Litigation and Arbitration, to complement and sophisticate the firm’s response to the specific casuistry of the Galician client.

“We embarked on this challenge almost three years ago, aware that we could offer Galician companies a new alternative for Legal advice: closer, more decisive and committed. The spectacular response that the market has given us in this time has made us grow to such an extent that we have outgrown our first office, explained Eva Hernando (pictured right), Legal / Corporate partner at Grant Thornton Vigo.

While it is true that Grant Thornton’s Galician venture has been built from a strategy of Legal advice, the office’s clients have access to the full range of multidisciplinary services that the firm offers nationwide, such as Auditing, Consulting and Outsourcing. In fact, the Vigo office itself could continue to grow thanks to the incorporation of professionals from these complementary areas.

“We plan to grow very soon in other lines of service typical of a multidisciplinary firm, such as Auditing, although our client benefits from a single-office strategy. Throughout this journey and future plans, we continue to be guided by the responsibility to continue accompanying the Galician company in its projects and the joy of knowing that they continue to bet on this enthusiastic team”, added José Ramón Cuervo (pictured left), Tax partner of Grant Thornton Vigo.

Grant Thornton currently has more than 800 professionals working in 10 offices throughout Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Castellón, Málaga, Murcia, Pamplona, Valencia, Vigo and Zaragoza. Internationally, the firm is present in more than 140 countries, with a team of more than 58,000 professionals.
