Grant Thornton hires new director of renewable assets

Grant Thornton has hired Javier de la Cuadra (pictured right) as its new director of renewable asset management.

De la Cuadra has years of professional experience in multinationals’ sectors such as distribution, energy and chemicals. This background has allowed him to manage and coordinate all the areas that have an impact on the implementation of a project, from its corporate and financial design to its final positioning in front of the client.

Javier de la Cuadra joins the team led by the partner and member of the management committee of Grant Thornton, Alejandro Sánchez (pictured left), with the challenge of consolidating and meeting the medium-term objectives, which include increasing the management portfolio, maintaining the growth in the volume of business of its clients, and expanding the range of services for the operation and marketing of the assets.

This line offers support for any type of renewable energy technology, whether wind, solar thermal, biomass, hydro or photovoltaic, which is still the one with the largest number of projects. This support covers all areas of the daily administrative management of its companies and assets, such as financial, tax, commercial, documentary, labour, technical and regulatory.

“I am very excited to be able to start working with Alejandro Sánchez, who has a clear and determined vision of where we want to go and how, essentially through the incorporation of talent with a transversal vision from different sectors,” said the new director of Grant Thornton.
