Grant Thornton bolsters Client Services with over 300 new hires

Professional services firm Grant Thornton has welcomed over 300 new professionals during the first months of 2024, strengthening its client services across its 11 offices nationwide. This hiring surge supports all of the firm’s multidisciplinary service lines, which have been integral to firm’s forty-year presence in Spain.

To onboard these new hires, the group held its traditional “Get To Know 2024” sessions in Madrid and Barcelona. These welcome events provide an opportunity for new team members to meet senior partners and managers, become acquainted with key areas and tools, and connect with colleagues. This onboarding initiative aims to integrate new professionals quickly, enabling them to contribute effectively from day one.

Significantly, over half of the new hires (51%) are women, underscoring company’s commitment to gender diversity and equitable opportunities. This goal is furthered by the firm’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, which oversees initiatives like the Equality Plan and the new LTGBI Plan. These programs, along with ongoing training and awareness efforts, foster an increasingly inclusive work environment.

The majority of the new hires joined the Audit line (28%), followed by Business Solutions (11%) and Financial Advisory (10%), with Business Consulting and Innovation and Tax lines each gaining 9% of the new recruits. These additions bring a mix of recent graduates in fields such as Economics, Law, and Engineering, along with seasoned professionals, creating a richly diverse, multi-generational environment.

Pablo González-Costea, firm’s Director of People & Culture, emphasized the firm’s dedication to talent development, stating, “We are committed to onboarding the best talent and ensuring our new professionals feel supported from day one. This process allows them to understand how our firm operates and engage with Grant Thornton’s top talent.”

Grant Thornton’s President, Ramón Galcerán, remarked, “We are proud to continually add top-tier talent across all our service lines. Our new team members are our present and our future. For 40 years, our success has been built on the excellence of our people. They will find a collaborative environment, work with leading clients, and enjoy a culture that values commitment and embraces everyone’s professional goals.”

New employees will benefit from tailored career plans, including international opportunities and advanced leadership programs. Furthermore, the firm has implemented new policies to enhance work-life balance, digital disconnect, remote work flexibility, and flexible compensation, fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and stimulating work environment.
