Grant Thornton bets again on Galicia with its new office in Vigo
Grant Thornton expands again geographically with the opening of its new office in Galicia, specifically in the city of Vigo. The new Galician office will be managed by three new partners, Tania Álvarez, from the tax department, Javier Ruiz, from the commercial legal area, and Borja Ríos, who will lead the labor line in the new office.
Ramón Galcerán, chairman of Grant Thornton, points out that “this reopening, together with the important commitment we have made in the Canary Islands, reinforces our commitment to Grant Thornton’s strategic growth. The incorporation of three first class experts of reference in Galicia, such as Tania Álvarez in tax, Javier Ruiz in legal, and Borja Ríos in labor, strengthens us to continue offering comprehensive and quality legal solutions, aligned with the challenges and opportunities of the Galician market. Their experience not only benefits our clients in the region, but also brings added value to our entire national network. A prolific and exciting new phase is beginning for Grant Thornton”.
Presence in Galicia
In this way, Grant Thornton once again has a presence in Galicia, a geographical extension that is key to expand and ensure its presence in the areas with more economic and business activity in our country. The new office represents a new advisory option for all those Galician companies looking for a service that is close, agile and connected to the specific reality of the sectors most present in the territory.
Many of these Galician companies already knew Grant Thornton’s way of working; therefore, the firm has found in Tania, Javier and Borja “the perfect allies to return to this market, since all three share the business project, the corporate culture and the future plans of the firm”, share from the firm.
From Vigo, the three new partners will provide advice to companies throughout Galicia, initially through their specialization in tax, commercial and labor law. However, the firm plans to expand its services to bring to the Galician market the multidisciplinary power of Grant Thornton, with all its current portfolio of services, such as business consulting, technology and innovation, financial advisory, outsourcing, as well as audit and assurance.
Presence in 11 cities
With the opening of this new location, and the reinforcement of the recently announced alliance in the Canary Islands, Grant Thornton now has a presence in 11 cities throughout Spain: Barcelona, Bilbao, Castellón, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Murcia, Oviedo, Pamplona, Valencia, Vigo and Zaragoza.
