Gómez-Acebo & Pombo appoints new managing partner and reveals 2015 results

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has appointed Carlos Rueda as its new managing partner.

Rueda replaces Manuel Martín, who has held the position since 2001.

The firm made the announcement as it revealed its financial results for 2015 – the firm posted revenue of €60.2m, a 2.1 per cent increase on the previous year.

Rueda, a banking and capital markets specialist, was formerly the firm’s resident partner in Lisbon.

Martín will remain at the firm as senior partner. Gonzalo Ulloa will remain as president of the firm.

The firm has also elected a new board of directors, the members of which are Manuel Martín, Carlos Rueda, Íñigo Erlaiz, Mónica Weimann, Miguel Lamo de Espinosa and Daniel Marín.

A firm statement accompanying the announcement of the annual results said the firm had also increased its profitability in the last 12 months.

A spokesman said the firm would announce Rueda’s replacement as resident partner in Lisbon within two weeks.
