Garrigues and Latham instructed on Mespack deal

Garrigues advised Barcelona-based packaging manufacturer Mespack on its acquisition by the US company Duravant.

Duravant, which manufactures equipment for the food processing industry, was advised on the deal by Latham & Watkins, according to Mergermarket data.

Mespack designs and manufactures equipment for packaging required by the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, confectionery, and cosmetics sectors.

Headquartered in Downers Grove in Illinois, Duravant has production plants and sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
